What is the Catholic Project?
There are about 1.3 billion Catholics in the world. You may be one of them, and if you are—most likely, you’re sincere in your love for God and your devotion to the beliefs of the Church. I was; yet, in all my years as a Catholic, I never experienced a personal relationship with Jesus, even though this is the crux of Christianity. Jesus declared during intercessory prayer, “Father . . . this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.” (John 17:1-3)
I knew about the Savior of the world for many years, but I did not know Him. Then this wonderful relationship was awakened in me at the age of 18. I was truly “born again” (John 3:1-7)! My life was dramatically changed! About a year later, I received the Baptism with the Holy Spirit, a wonderful and empowering gift from God. This ecstatic infilling did not happen when I went through the traditional ceremony called Confirmation; it came direct from the Father. In the following years, after studying the Bible in-depth, I realized that many of the doctrines and practices I had accepted without question were actually unbiblical. Now, I feel constrained by the grace of God to communicate my findings.
“The Catholic Project” is all about sharing with our Catholic brothers and sisters the wonderful opportunity of having these encounters with God and having His promises fulfilled in their lives. It’s all about defining authentic biblical Christianity, as revealed in the book of Acts. Without a doubt, all of this is offered to you in great love—from God and from us.
The Ministry of Mike Shreve
Since 1971, Mike Shreve has been devoted to evangelism, preaching God’s Word in churches, auditoriums, tents, and stadiums, in the U.S. and 12 other nations, including India, Liberia, Nigeria, and Costa Rica. In churches and conferences, the focus is usually the revelation of our spiritual identity as children of God, with an emphasis on salvation, healing, and the prophetic, as the Spirit of God leads.
He is the author of 17 books, the visionary behind “The True Light Project” (an outreach to adherents of non-Christian religions), “The Catholic Project,” and the founder of Deeper Revelation Books, a Christian publishing company.
I believe in the two great commandments: loving
God and loving others.
Mike and Elizabeth,
United in Purpose
In 1989, Mike and Elizabeth Shreve were married, that they might serve God and advance His Kingdom together. Both of them waited a long time for marriage–waiting for that spouse who was part of God’s design for their lives. Because it was of the Lord, their union has borne much fruit for the Father’s glory. As the Scripture says, “Two are better than one” (Ecclesiastes 4:9)
